Pirates and Privateers of the High Seas

I know that I am officially a privateer. But there are some days when I feel a bit more like a pirate. Especially during those tense moments when meeting another ship at sea. But I only need to refer to some of the rough and tumble bunch featured in this book to put me back in my dutiful state of mind. Thankfully, I have only crossed paths with Captain John Paul Jones, to whom I am grateful to have sparked the notion of undertaking this double life.

Pirates and Privateers of the High Seas describes the lives of eleven different pirates and privateers in a dramatic fashion. Featuring brief collective biographies of Sir Francis Drake, Sir Henry Morgan, Henry Avery, Samuel Bellamy, Edward Teach, Anne Bonny, Mary Read, Bartholomew Roberts, John Paul Jones, Jean Laffite, and Cheng I Sao, also known as the "Dragon Lady."
